Common Questions

Who can receive these services?

Our wound care services are available to patients with chronic or non-healing surgical wounds that have been present for at least 30 days. Patients can receive care at home or in a long term care facility—even if they are already receiving home health or hospice,—since we bill Medicare Part B. These services are not for patients who are terminal within two weeks, ensuring that our treatments are appropriate and effective for those who can benefit most from advanced wound care. Also, patients that are actively participating in skilled therapy at a nursing rehab facility are not able to receive these treatments until after they have completed their therapy.

What is so special about this type of wound care in comparison to traditional wound care?

Unlike traditional wound care, which often focuses on basic cleaning and dressing changes, our approach uses advanced placental grafts that provide natural growth factors and a protective barrier to actively support healing. These grafts help the body repair both chronic and surgical wounds more effectively, reducing complications and speeding recovery. Combined with care from wound-certified providers and the ability to deliver services wherever the patient is—home, rehab, nursing facility, or hospital—our program offers a higher level of personalized, proactive wound management.

What insurances are accepted?

We accept traditional Medicare for all our wound care services. For patients who currently have a Medicare Advantage plan but want to receive this service, our knowledgeable staff can guide them through the process of temporarily switching to traditional Medicare. Once the wound has healed, we can also help patients switch back to their original plan, making it easy and seamless to access the care they need without long-term changes to their coverage.

Are the placental allografts FDA approved?

Our placental allografts are FDA-approved, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. These grafts are carefully processed to preserve the natural growth factors and structure of the tissue, providing a safe and effective way to support the healing of chronic and non-healing surgical wounds. Patients and providers can have confidence knowing that the products we use are regulated and approved for medical use, offering advanced wound care with proven safety.
